FODDERS
Silage
With silage I mean straw feed meant to feeding in wintertime, harvested in summer, and it is preserved by degreasing fodders pH-value low enough (depending on dry matter content, about pH 4).
Also look: FIELD -grass

Grain
The grain I use at the moment is crush preserved. The grain is flatten and compressed to flat silos by tractor. In preserving you can use silage acid, molasses or whey.
Also look: FIELD -grain

Protein fodder
As protein fodder I use either turnip rape or soya depending on protein concentration of the fodder. Turnip or soya fodder is secondary product of oil pressing. At the moment I am using turnip rape.
Whey
Whey is secondary product of dairy industry. It appears when cheeses are made. Whey is energy fodder, so you can compensate grain with it.

Feed milk
Feed milk is also a secondary product of dairy industry. Dairy washes its pipes by pumping water to the pipes. Feed milk is mix of water and milk and its dry matter content is a bit lower than milk (average 6-8%, milk 12%). At this time the feed milk is delivered out of Oulu, dairy of Valio
Minerals
Mineral fodder contains mineral matters needed by bovine, such as calcium (Ca), phosphor (P) and magnesium (Mg). Mineral fodder of beef cattle the Ca:P -proportion is usually about 4:1. We also have salt licks for animals so they can have salt if they want
